Sustainability is not a trend. It is how we build projects.

As the third contractor in the country to join the organization, Blach Construction shares in the United States Green Building Council's (USGBC) mission of promoting the construction of environmentally responsible and healthy places to live and work.

This commitment is demonstrated by our early involvement in the USBGC, through our LEED® Gold-certified headquarters, our employees – more than half of Blach’s project workforce is composed of LEED accredited professionals – and through the firm’s extensive sustainable construction experience.

In the earliest stages of the sustainable movement, Blach was the first contractor ever to track and achieve more than 80% debris and demolition waste diversion on a project for the David & Lucile Packard Foundation in 1999.

Blach has completed numerous sustainable projects including the 62,000 s.f. corporate office for the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, which was certified LEED Platinum for Commercial Interiors, as well as many others.
