Santa Clara, Calif., (June 19, 2013) Silicon Valley-based commercial contractor Blach Construction Company today announced that for the first time in the company’s history, it has been ranked among the top 400 contractors in United States by Engineering News-Record (ENR).
“This is an exciting milestone for the company, and one that would bring a smile to my father’s face,” noted Mike Blach, president and CEO. “My dad always wanted to land on the ENR Top 400 list, and we were all thrilled to learn this news.”
This annual list represents the top 400 general contractors in the United States ranked by revenue. Blach Construction was ranked #386 in the list based on more than $125 million in overall revenue last year.
This milestone highlights Blach’s growth through the past 43 years. Founder Michael S. Blach started the company in 1970 with one superintendent and a secretary. They landed their first few jobs within a couple of months of opening the doors in Santa Clara. Today, Blach Construction has more than 200 employees and has won numerous awards for its safety program, innovation in IT systems and in construction technologies, corporate philanthropy and community engagement.
With the current growth in the company, the builder expects to climb up list further next year.
