Blach reports it expects to achieve record volume and employee count in 2012. The company is projecting annual volume of $130 million in the current fiscal year, an increase of more than 30 percent over the prior year. To support the increased volume, Blach has hired 27 new full-time employees since the beginning of the year, achieving a record total of 259 employees in July 2012.

Chief among the new hires are Senior Project Managers Tony Matulich and James Woodbury. Matulich brings 17 years of experience in the construction industry to the firm. Prior to joining the Blach team, he spent 15 years at Vance Brown Construction managing multiple projects at Stanford University as well as the construction of a 38,000 square-foot new Elks Lodge in Palo Alto. Matulich earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the California State University, Chico.

James Woodbury spent the first 11 years of his career with Devcon Construction where he developed a strong resume of experience in high technology campus construction, including multiple projects for Apple. Most notably, he built five, two-story office buildings at the Cisco campus in Milpitas totaling $73 million, which are designed to meet LEED Gold certification. Woodbury earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering and a minor degree in Construction Management from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

In addition, Blach has hired 25 full-time employees, including one project executive, one senior estimator, one senior project engineer, six superintendents, one assistant superintendent, one foreman, seven project engineers, five project coordinators/assistants, one warehouse assistant and one business development administrative assistant.
