San Jose, Calif. (April 20, 2016) – The Silicon Valley Business Journal and the San Francisco Business Times recently announced that Blach Construction Company is the #5 company on their list of the “Best Places to Work in the Bay Area.”
This is the eighth consecutive year that Blach has been ranked as one of the top ten companies. Beginning in 2008, the company has been ranked #6 or higher in its size category. In 2010, Blach was named the #1 best place to work in the Bay Area. Moreover, Blach is the only general contractor that has placed in the top six for each of the past eight years.
Malcom Bordelon and Mary Huss, the publishers of the respective newspapers, announced this recognition at an awards gala attended by more than 800 Bay Area business leaders Tuesday evening at the Hilton Union Square in San Francisco. More than 400 companies competed for the opportunity to be recognized as one of the top 125 companies in the annual survey. This year, Blach was ranked #5 in the “midsize” company category, among the top 25 firms that employ 100 to 249 employees.

In order to qualify for the top 125, each firm’s employees must successfully complete an anonymous questionnaire, which focuses on employee engagement, best practices, work environment and benefits.
