“Chad and Mike are working hard to help Blach achieve its goal of exceptional service and performance,” said Dan Rogers, Executive Vice President & COO. “Their decades of experience will continue to strengthen our field and safety efforts as well as drive us toward future successes.”

Overseeing the company’s field operations, Chad Tyson was recently promoted to the position of General Superintendent. Formerly one of Blach’s seasoned superintendents, Tyson joined the company in 1995 as a carpenter and brings extensive experience to his role from working on some of Blach’s largest projects, including a new, state-of-the-art performing arts center in Menlo Park.

As General Superintendent, Tyson will support the company’s 30% growth in staff by providing strategic oversight to field operations and staffing while managing the development of 18 superintendents and more than a dozen foremen. Tyson and Holland will continue to report to Ken Treadwell, Vice President and Blach Construction board member.

Mike Holland was recently promoted to the position of Director of Environmental Health and Safety. In this position, Holland will draw upon his 30-year career in the construction industry to oversee Blach’s award-winning safety program. Holland joined Blach in 2010 and has played a number of roles in the company since that time, most recently as superintendent.

In order to continue enhancing Blach’s safety program, recognized as the #3 safest in the nation and #1 in California (as determined by the Associated General Contractors (AGC)), Holland is leveraging resources with the OSHA Training Center and the American Society of Safety Engineers. He is also studying through Columbia Southern Universities to obtain a degree in Applied Science in Occupational Health & Safety.
